The EIT Health Matchmaking event occurred on the 5 and 6th of December in Tallinn, Estonia. At these strategic Partner events, EIT Health supports meaningful community networking. It aims to accelerate projects between their partners by giving them a space for pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings to establish new and fruitful collaborations.
Specifically, the event was focused on the flagships “New models to deliver healthcare” and “Harnessing the full potential of health data for innovation”.

I had the opportunity to participate in the roundtable “Implementing High-Value Care – Views from Healthcare Provider, Payer and Patient,” moderated by Per Horn, Entrepreneurship Lead, EIT Health Scandinavia, and with:
- Martin Tegnér, Head of Program office Life Science and Innovation. Regional Chief Executive’s office at Region Stockholm.
- Jenny Camaradou, UK/Greece, European Patients Academy on Therapeutic Innovation (EUPATI) Patient Expert, HealthTech bid writer.
- Jaarika Järviste, Head of Development. Estonian Health Insurance Fund.
- Terje Peetso, Member of the Management Board. North Estonia Medical Centre.
My keynote, “To be high-value care or not to be — How to lose high-value care in ten steps,” was focused on the urgency to implement high-value care and what not to do if we want to implement it.
High-value care means providing the best care possible, efficiently using resources, and achieving optimal results for each patient.
